Under �Clean Milk Production Scheme� of Central Government the union has purchased 67 �Bulk Milk Cooler� which have been installed at 59 cooperative milk production societies. Through them milk has been collected from 100 cooperative milk producing societies. For purchasing the �Bulk Milk Coolers� Central Government has granted a subsidy of Rs.3.3682 Crores. So far under this scheme the union has incurred Rs.5.77 crores. Through these Bulk Milk Coolers the union is collected 1.50 lakh liters of milk.
Milk collected through bulk coolers brought to the union through tankers. In order to ensure the society-wise quality, milk has been collected in separate compartments of tanker.
The union sells around 2.50 lakh liters cow milk per day in pouch packing as against the collection of 3 lakh liters. Apart from packed milk the union also engaged in production and sale of milk products like cheese, Ghee, Shrikhand, Ambrakhand, Paneer, Flavoured milk, Pedhas, Lassi, Curd, Butter Milk, Gulabjamun, Barffie, Rajhans Mango Drink etc.
The union stated a cheese plant having 1 MT per day capacity which will be further expanded to 10 MT per day capacity. While milk, milk products, and Rajhans Aqua are selling in and outside the state, Cheese will be made available in and outside the country. High quality milk required in production of cheese is being collected from bulk coolers and hence initial cost incurred on it has been recovered.
